How we collect, use, and protect the personal data you share with the Cocoa Bridge Alliance.

Cocoa Bridge Alliance Incorporated (“CBA”, “we”) is a non-profit corporation registered in Connecticut, United States (EIN 42-4868491, filing number 0014215767, ALEI US-CT.BER:3492617), with its registered office at 2389 Main St, Ste 100, Glastonbury, CT 06033-4617, United States.

What data we collect
Contact form: full name, email address, organization, inquiry type, and the content of your message.
CIDS 2027 newsletter: email address and, if you provide them, full name, organization, role, and preferred language.
Technical data: anonymous, aggregated audience measurement (pages viewed, approximate country, device type, referring source). We do not use advertising cookies and we do not build advertising profiles.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
To answer your enquiries and manage partnership, membership, sponsorship, or press requests — legal basis: your request and our legitimate interest in responding.
To send CIDS 2027 announcements — legal basis: your consent, given when you subscribe.
To keep the website secure and understand overall audience trends — legal basis: our legitimate interest.
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
Who can access it
Authorized CBA staff and board members only, on a need-to-know basis.
Technical service providers acting on our instructions: our website and database hosting provider, and our transactional email provider. They process data solely to operate the service.
Data may be stored or processed in the United States. For visitors in the European Union and other jurisdictions with equivalent rules, transfers rely on the appropriate safeguards offered by these providers.
How long we keep it
Contact messages: up to 3 years after the last exchange.
Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, then removed from the active list.
Aggregated audience statistics: up to 25 months.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and comparable laws, you may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw your consent to the newsletter at any time.
Send your request to info@cocoabridgealliance.org. We reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (for example the CNIL in France, or the ARTCI in Côte d'Ivoire).
Cookies
The site uses a strictly necessary local storage entry to remember your language choice, and privacy-friendly aggregated audience measurement. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or applicable law. The date below indicates the latest version.
